On Wednesday, the actress, author and mother of two revealed her and Jason Biggs' firstborn son had been hospitalized over the weekend.
"On Saturday evening, I dropped my son on his head causing him to fracture his skull and landing him in the ICU," Mollen explained to fans on Instagram. "I am forever grateful to Lenox hill downtown and @nyphospital for their immediate response and aid. Thank you to all of the nurses, neurologists, pediatricians, residents, cafeteria staff and brave women that keep the visitor‘s bathrooms clean."
The star continued, "Not sure how this post turned into an Oscars acceptance speech... But @biggsjason Thank god for you! Thank god, thank god, thank god." The two have been married since 2008.
As for the 5-year-old youngster, "It has been a traumatic week but Sid is home now taking things slowly and recovering nicely," Mollen noted. "He is also eating a lot of chocolate dipped ice cream cones and plans to try cherry dipped soon."
Before signing off, the actress added a touching line to any parent who has experienced something similar. "My heart goes out to all parents who have or will ever find themselves in this kind of position. You are not alone..."
The post triggered many comments from fans wishing the mother and son well, including a comforting and comical one from comedian Molly O. Austin. "My mom dropped us a bunch. Moms be droppin! You're doing great!" she wrote to Mollen. "I'm so glad he's doing ok!
LEWISTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — Rapper Kodak Black is among four Florida men arrested at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge.
New York State Police say Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was with three other men trying to enter the United States when they were detained at the border for weapon and drug possession. Police say Kodak Black had marijuana and a Glock 9mm pistol that he did not declare inside the Cadillac Escalade he was driving.
Black was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana. Two other men in the car with him, 24-year-old Stetson President and 20-year-old Madarrow Smith, were also arrested on weapons charges.
Another car was traveling with the group and police say the driver declared two loaded handguns but didn't declare a third that police found in the trunk. Police say they also found marijuana in that car, and arrested 22-year-old Jeantony Saintmelus.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Customs and Border Protection said:
"On Wednesday, two vehicles occupied by U.S. Citizens were encountered at the Lewiston-Queenston Port of Entry. During the initial inspection, the U.S. citizens admitted to being in possession of marijuana and firearms. During a secondary inspection, it was revealed that the weapons were possessed unlawfully in New York State and subsequently the marijuana, firearms and subjects were turned over to the New York State Police for further processing. U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations continuously works in collaboration with our law enforcement partners, which include federal, state and local agencies."
All four men were arraigned in town of Lewiston Court and taken to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of bail. They'll be back in court in May.
UPDATE: The grand majority of the Cannes Film Festival lineup for 2019 was unveiled this morning in Paris with such expected names as Pedro Almodovar (Pain & Glory), Terrence Malick (A Hidden Life) and Ken Loach (Sorry We Missed You) in the mix — see below the original post for the full list. At the same time, there is still no confirmation of Quentin Tarantino’s anticipated Once Upon A Time In Hollywood — yet. Fest chief Thierry Frémaux said it’s not quite ready, but he hopes to add it. What he’s seen of the period film is “magnificent.”
Overall, there were few surprises, but among the refreshing turns here on the Champs-Elysées this morning, there are four female directors in Competition, the most of any recent year. They include Jessica Hausner’s Little Joe and Céline Sciamma’s Portrait Of A Lady On Fire.
We also learned this morning that Elton John will be on hand for the world premiere of Paramount’s Rocketman, which Deadline previously confirmed for a May 16 slot. Alfonso Cuaron will also be on the Riviera to present a restored version of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining — and, according to Frémaux, to “hang out” with his pal Alejandro G Inarritu who is the Cannes jury president this year.
See below for the full list of titles announced today including the Competition, Out of Competition, Special Screenings and Un Certain Regard strands (more films will surely be added in the days to come) and check back for more news and our analysis of Cannes, Vintage 2019.
PREVIOUS, 1:57AM PT: The lineup for the 72nd Cannes Film Festival is being unveiled this morning from the UGC Normandie theater here on Paris’ Champs-Elysées. There are already a handful of titles certain to be among the Official Selection which fest chief Thierry Frémaux will announce today, while he may also have some surprises up his sleeve and is likely to hold a few tidbits back to be added over the next few weeks before the Riviera shindig kicks off on May 14.
The festival earlier announced that Jim Jarmusch’s zombie horror comedy The Dead Don’t Die, from Focus, has opening night honors, in competition. And as Deadline previously confirmed, Paramount’s Elton John musical fantasy biopic Rocketmanwill blast off on May 16. Alejandro G Inarritu is President of the jury this year, one that as ever, has been rife with speculation.
You can watch live, for the first time in English, below:
We do not expect to hear any Netflix or Amazon features included on the roster, marking the first time in four years without a film from either streamer. However, as Deadline has reported, at least one episode of Nicolas Winding Refn’s Amazon series Too Old To Die Young is looking at a special slot.
Perhaps the biggest question, which may not be answered this morning, is whether Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is due to debut on May 21. That would mark 25 years to the day since Pulp Fiction wowed the Croisette before going on to win the Palme d’Or. The Sony title has been highly tipped to be unspooling in Cannes, but we’ll see if Frémaux gives up the goods either way today.
Elsewhere, Terrence Malick’s A Hidden Life (previously titled Radegund) is expected, as are Pedro Almodovar’s Pain & Glory, Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite and Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You, among many others. Céline Sciamma’s Portrait Of A Lady On Fire and Alice Winocour’s English-language Proxima have also been buzzed about.
We will be updating the titles set today as they are announced, so check back for the running list below:

Festival artistic director Thierry Fremaux and president Pierre Lescure took to the stage to unveil the films competing for the Palme d'Or.
The Cannes Film Festival on Thursday unveiled the lineup for its 72nd edition, letting the world know which stars and directors will climb the iconic steps of the French town's Palais this year.
Festival director Thierry Fremaux and president Pierre Lescure unveiled the lineup for the world's biggest film event, to be held May 14-May 25, during a press event in Paris. They took to the stage just after 11 a.m. local time, kicking off the traditional lineup press conference at Paris' UGC Cinema on the French capital's Champs Elysees.
Lescure began the ceremony with a tribute to Agnes Varda, noting the festival is paying homage to the late director with this year's poster. He went on to add that the festival is still strong, despite detractors, and that accreditation requests are up this year. He also pointed to last year's winners including Spike Lee's Oscar as how the festival is still a leading voice in the cinema world.
Lescure also said that while the festival does not select a theme, he said this year it seems to be "romantic and political," saying the entries are very political because the artists are interested in these topics. He also connected the festival to the strength of Europe, which will be having elections in May.
Fremaux touted the makeup of the festival's selection committee, which reached fifty-fifty parity this year and the growing inclusion of female directors in the official selection.
Among the first titles unveiled were Pedro Almodovar's Pain and Glory, The Traitor from Marco Bellocchio and Parasite from Bong Joon-ho.
Fremaux said that Quentin Tarantino's new film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is not ready yet as the director is in post-production, adding that in 35mm the production process is long. But he said it could still make it to Cannes as long as he finishes it in time.
This year, 13 female filmmakers are featured in this year's Official Selection, Fremaux highlighted. And, as he usually does, he said the festival would add some more films in the near future.
As previously unveiled, opening the film festival with a star studded lineup will be Jim Jarmusch's zombie comedy The Dead Don't Die, starring Bill Murray, Chloe Sevigny, Tilda Swinton and Adam Driver, along with some music powerhouses Iggy Pop, Tom Waits and Selena Gomez who also appear in the film.
Five-time Oscar-winning Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu will lead the main competition jury for the films that are in the running for the Palme d'Or. Lebanese director Nadine Labaki, whose Capernaum was nominated in the best foreign-language film category at the Academy Awards this year, will head up the Un Certain Regard jury.
Lescure at the start of the press conference paid tribute to the late Agnes Varda, who is featured on this year's festival poster. And he highlighted Spike Lee's best adapted screenplay Oscar win for last year's Cannes competition title BlacKkKlansman.

Have you heard the news? Kim Kardashian has just been appointed to the Supreme Court! Okay, not quite. But judging by the reactions of some to the reality star’s latest revelation, she might as well have been. The 38-year-old mother of three and queen of reality TV recently revealed that she is going to be a lawyer, despite never having finished college. So, it begs to question: Can you become a lawyer without going to law school?
Why does Kim Kardashian want to become a lawyer?
Kardashian recently told Vogue that she never in a million years thought she would go to law school. However, a recent experience made her become passionate about the law and look into what it would take to become a lawyer. Last year she spent a lot of time and energy fighting to get Alice Marie Johnson released from prison. Johnson spent over 20 years in jail for a non-violent drug charge. Kardashian famously visited the White House and talked to the president about Johnson’s release.
Kardashian says the experience made her satisfied with a good outcome and also made her feel out of her depth. She began to become increasingly involved with prison reform, including offering to pay rent for a recently released inmate.
The decision to become a lawyer did not come easy. After all, Kardashian has a successful media empire, numerous endorsements, and three kids at home. She says she had to think long and hard about the decision, but ultimately felt that she could do so much.
According to California law, Kardashian can skip law school
California does not require residents to attend law school to sit for the state bar, which is the test needed to become a lawyer. In fact, Virginia, Washington, and Vermont all allow residents to skip law school as well. Maine, New York, and Wyoming don’t require a law degree either, but they do require some law school before sitting for the bar.
How can someone be qualified to become a lawyer without years of law school? In the aforementioned states, citizens can choose to participate in an internship in lieu of attending law school. They must complete a set number of hours with a licensed lawyer and successfully pass the state bar. In California, those who wish to take the bar without going to law school must take the first year law students examination, also known as the “baby bar.” Kardashian recently shared pictures of her studying for her upcoming exam.
Kim Kardashian wouldn’t be the first lawyer in the family
It may seem like Kardashian’s ambition to become a lawyer has come out of nowhere, but we have to remember that her father, Robert Kardashian, was a very well known lawyer.
Many believed that Robert Kardashian and a team of lawyers helped OJ Simpson get away with murder. Simpson was accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Though there was a large amount of highly incriminating evidence, OJ walked away with a not guilty verdict, thanks in large part to the work of his legal team.
Kim Kardashian says she remembers her father working on the case when she was a kid. She says the whole legal team would come over to her house to prep for the trial. She remembers looking through the books and evidence. She says she was “really nosy about the forensics.”
Kim Kardashian hopes to sit for the bar in 2022
Kardashian has a long road ahead of her. She is currently one-fourth of the way through her required internship. After completing her internship, she must still sit for and pass the California State Bar. The bar consists of multiple choice questions and an essay portion and is considered very difficult to pass.
If she does pass the bar, she will still face a few hurdles. It is unlikely that Kardashian will want to work for a private law firm, and instead will choose to work with private clients. However, if she does choose to pursue working at a law firm, employers may be reluctant to hire her because of her lack of schooling. If she plans to go to trial, she must also be granted permission by each circuit court she wishes to argue in.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter dropped a surprise live album titled "Homecoming" Wednesday, coinciding with the release of her highly-anticipated Netflix documentary of the same name. The live album was recorded when she was the headliner of 2018's Coachella festival.
Early Wednesday morning, the superstar tweeted a photo of the album's cover art with a link to her website and the words, "HOMECOMING out now." The post garnered over 56,000 retweets and more than 139,000 likes at press time.
"Homecoming: The Live Album" features 40 songs, including, "Crazy in Love" and "Formation," performed live at the festival. The star performed twice during the two-weekend music festival in California in 2018. She was originally slotted to take the stage in 2017, but had to delay the show when she became pregnant with twins.
The nearly two-hour medley became available in the early morning on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and Tidal, reports Entertainment Tonight.
The editor's note on the album's Apple music page explains the performance also included something extra special -- a drumline. The set "spoke directly to her moment as historymaker, synthesizing generations (and regions) of Black musicality through the filter of an HBCU-style marching band (members of DrumLine Live, performing here as Queen Bey's 'The Bzzzz')," read the editor's note.
The note also explained the meaning behind the album's title. "In the American college tradition, she called the performance 'Homecoming,'" read the note.
The record isn't all new songs, and it includes two bonus tracks in addition to the live performance. The hitmaker recorded a studio cover of "Before I Let Go," performed by Frankie Beverly and Maze in 1981 and covered with her breakthrough girl group Destiny's Child in 1997, according to ET. The recording is also heard in the ending credits of the Netflix documentary. The tune "I Been On" was recorded for the album as well.
Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z's oldest child, 7-year-old Blue Ivy, even got a chance to show off her vocal chops with a performance in the tune "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
The documentary, also centers around her renowned Coachella performance in 2018, offering an in-depth look from creative concept to cultural movement, according to Netflix's tweet of the piece's trailer.
The artist's last solo album was 2016's Lemonade, which garnered an overwhelmingly positive response from fans and critics. She also released a surprise joint album in 2018 with Jay-Z titled "Everything is Love."
