[VIDEO] 'Game of Thrones': 'SNL' Spinoffs - TVLine

The Game of Thrones spinoffs that Saturday Night Live cooked up Saturday night aren’t real… but we kinda wish they were.

Because we’d watch the heck outta a Jon Snow-centric romantic drama… or a Daria-style animated show about Arya… or The Marvelous Mrs. Melisandre.

In a pre-taped bit, host/Thrones star Kit Harington and members of the cast played off the hype about the HBO series’ final season by promoting some truly excellent offshoots.

John and Gilly in a sitcom called The King of Queens Landing? Famous eunuchs Varys and Grey Worm in No Ballers? Cersei and the City? Give us a minute while we set our dream DVRs. (And if you didn’t see Harington’s Thrones-inspired SNL monologue, check it out here.)

Perhaps the best moment in the piece came when Mariska Hargitay and Ice-T showed up in a crossover titled Game of Thrones: Special Victims Unit. (Anyone else catch that the executive producer of that one was Dire Wolf?)

Of course, HBO is developing a Thrones prequel pilot that is set thousands of years before the events of the original series. Per the official logline, the project will chronicle “the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour” and will offer a different perspective on the series’ mythology.

WWE legend Bret Hart was just tackled to the ground by a man who bumrushed the former wrestler while he was literally being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Bret was making his induction speech Saturday night during WWE's HOF ceremony -- in which BH and Jim The Avnil Neidhart were to be sworn in -- when out of nowhere a guy wearing what appeared to be a Rasta hat hopped into the ring and tried to take Bret down. 

It wasn't a publicity stunt or a staged moment either -- security immediately swarmed in and dog piled the man, as other wrestlers nearby also hopped in to help. It was an immediate frenzy, if only momentarily.

According to reports, the guy in question was removed from the building and Bret was able to finish his speech. Mind you ... Bret has suffered a stroke in the past. 

Even now, though ... ya can't take Bret Hart down. In fact, don't even try it.

Coachella stagehand dies during setup, police say - Fox News

A California man died Saturday while setting up one of the stages for next weekend’s Coachella Music Festival, police said.

Public Information Officer Benjamin Guitron with the Indio Police Department confirmed to Fox News that an unidentified male died Saturday in an “industrial accident” related to the setup of a stage arrangement for the famous music fest, which is set to take place over the weekends of April 12 and 19. The list of performers for this year's iteration of the fest includes Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, Chvrches, Khalid, Gucci Gang, Zedd and Weezer, among many others.

Police responded Saturday morning to a report that a stagehand at the Empire Polo Club in Riverside County, Calif., had gotten hurt while working on one of the stage setups. Medical personnel tended to the man on the scene, but he died as a result of his injuries.

Because of the circumstances of the man’s death, officials contacted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) which has taken the lead in the investigation.

Details surrounding the man’s death remained unknown as of Saturday evening, but a TMZ report cited sources who said the man fell some 60 feet while scaling some scaffolding. He was reportedly attached to a safety harness, the website said.

An autopsy report will be conducted by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office. A victim ID awaits family notifications.

The man, who has not been identified, was found dead when police arrived around 9:30 a.m. PT.
Goldenvoice Media Group, which promotes the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, called him "a colleague, a friend, a family member."
"He has been with our team for 20 years in the desert and was doing what he loved," the festival said in a statement. "He was a hard-working and loving person that cared deeply about his team. As our lead rigger, he was responsible for the countless incredible shows that have been put on at the festival."
According to a tweet from the Riverside office of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the employee fell from a roof.

Coachella festival worker dies in "falling accident" at Empire Polo Grounds - KESQ

INDIO, Calif. - At around 9:30 on Saturday morning, Indio police received a call of an industrial accident at the Empire Polo Grounds near Avenue 50 and Monroe street. Indio Fire and Cal Fire responded and were on scene. 

According to police, when they arrived on the concert grounds, they learned one of the workers there had a falling accident and tragically passed away. Police are currently working with Cal Fire and the Coroner's Office. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is also reviewing the scene and accident. 

Police say the worker was working on the concert grounds in one of the staging areas. The Coroner's Office will be addressing information on the deceased and OSHA will be handling the review of the incident. 

Indio police sends their condolences to family and friends of the victim.

Lori Loughlin's other daughter is still in her corner - Page Six

Accused college scammer Lori Loughlin got a hug of support from daughter Isabella Rose while the two waited for a valet attendant after running errands in Beverly Hills Saturday.

But the two couldn’t escape further headaches involving Loughlin and her husband’s alleged attempt to fake their kids’ way into the University of Southern California.

Daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli is said to be scared that she too could be targeted by prosecutors.

The regret-filled YouTube star is shaking in her stilettos at the thought of being hauled into court in her parents’ alleged bribery case, Hollywood Life reported.

“Olivia is furious with her parents over this mess and now she is terrified that she may be forced into court to take the stand to testify,” an unnamed source told the site.

The 19-year-old knew about the alleged scheme and would have stopped it if she thought they’d get caught, according to People.

“She would have never gone along with it if she thought this would happen,” an unnamed source told the mag. “Her thing is that she trusted her parents.”

The source added that the daughter of actor Loughlin and designer Mossimo Giannulli “just wants to figure out how to rebuild her brand” after losing endorsement deals with TRESemmé and Sephora in the wake of the scandal.

“Olivia is still distraught and embarrassed. She hasn’t been home much,” the source was quoted as saying. “She is very angry with her parents.”

Loughlin and Giannulli were among 33 celebrities and wealthy parents charged with buying their kids’ way into prestigious colleges.

Federal prosecutors accused the couple of paying $500,000 to get their daughters into USC by creating a pretext they were recruits for the school’s crew team.

The young women reportedly have not returned to campus since Loughlin’s March arrest.
